María Cardín

A graduate in Business Administration and Management, María worked in several departments of the family business to learn the trade. By 2005 she was working alongside general management, and subsequently moved up to her present post of sales and marketing manager. She forms part of the fifth generation of the El Gaitero Group, and now works on the management team and the executive committee. 

She has sat on the Management Board of AESI (Spanish Cider Association) and of ASSA (Asturias Cider Association) since 2015, and has chaired the latter since 2016. As chair of ASSA she represents the cider sector on the Principality of Asturias' Food and Agriculture Board, and on the Cider Foundation’s Board of Trustees.Since 2020 she has been on the jury panel for the Exemplary Asturias Village Prize awarded each year by the Princesa de Asturias Foundation.
