Technical Director of Bodehga Dehesa de los Canónigos (Pesquera de Duero, Valladolid, Spain)

Belén represents the new wine generation, which realises the importance of innovation in a traditional sector.

Wine expert and specialist in Viticulture and Enotechnics, she was a disciple of two legendary enologists, Mariano García and Antonio Sanz, through the friendship with them over many years of her father and owner of the winery, Luis Sanz Busto.

When she completed her studies, Mariano García offered Belén an internship at Vega Sicilia, she then took up another internship at Bodega de Crianza Castilla la Vieja, run by Antonio Sanz, and at the "Enological Station" in Rueda.

She has been technical director at Bodega Dehesa de los Canónigos since 1998, and is now tasked with this major family project alongside her brother Iván as managing director.
