Carito Lourenço learned the trade alongside Quique Dacosta, and in 2015 she and her husband Germán Carrizo - also from Argentina - set up the Fierro restaurant, which recently won a Michelin star.

Specialising in signature cakemaking, Carito Lourenço makes desserts and many other items. Although her speciality is desserts, she can work in any other area of cuisine that calls for enthusiasm and hard work.

She arrived in Spain from Argentina when she was still very young. With a passion for cooking, she headed up the kitchen at Quique Dacosta's El Poblet and Vuelve Carolina restaurants in Valencia with Germán Carrizo – her partner, who is also Argentinian - and together they earned the eatery's Michelin star. To consolidate their success, they moved towards the world of gastronomic advisory, and then in 2015 they established Fierro, a very special project which started off with a single table, and has moved on to individual sitdowns. It was, in fact, in Valencia, that they won their Michelin star last year.
